A case of the crochet potholders

Hello.

My collection of potholders is growing, as of last month I have crocheted 3 potholders. I like to make things for my kitchen because it makes me feel really good when I sat to eat or to prepare food.  The patterns are not mine, but I will provide a link towards the original patterns.

I used 100% cotton from Bernat yarns

Aging gracefully

July 19th, 2019

A few months ago, I decided to not color my hair, as I am tired of the routine.  I had to color every 3 weeks or less.  The grey hair showed and I would run to the hairdresser to color my hair. In the meantime, I used powders and sprays to keep the grey hair from showing. I really hated because of that time I could have been doing other things.

One day a made an appointment with the hairdresser, but I did not go.  Something inside stopped me to waste my money and time.  I thought I was ready to stop coloring my hair.  It has been more than six months, and the grey hair is showing more and more.  The days I feel down I wear a hat.  Another days I just don't care.

Furthermore, I read about other women going thru the same, and it was very uplifting.  There are groups out there for you to follow and articles to read about going coloring free.  Also,  there are people out there who are young and have grey hair.

You will find a lot of information in the web, so that you don't feel like you are the only one going grey.

I have compiled some blogs and websites for you to read and feel great about your grey hair.  Let's age gracefully.

Organic Bust

07/10/2019

I ordered a couple of Chlorella's pouches from Organic Bust.  Today was my first time drinking it. First, when I saw the color of this plant, which is made into powder, I was going to faint.  However, prior to buying this product, I did some research, and the reviews are awesome.  It has so many healthy benefits.
This is my experience only.

This is how it looks....

What do you think of the color?  I see black. Anyhow, I put a teaspoon of the Chlorella on my coffee with a little bit of muscle milk. I taste the coffee with a plant flavor, maybe.  According to many sources on the web, this is a superfood, and have lots of benefits for illnesses or prevention of illnesses. I recommend that you check with your doctor before taking this as might not go well with certain medications.

I will let you know how I am doing with this superfood, as I am trying to improve my health and cut some medications.

If you want to check out Organic Bust, this is their website:  https://us.organicburst.com
From WebMD:  https://www.webmd.com/vitamins-and-supplements/chlorella-uses-and-risks
From Wikipedia: https://www.webmd.com/vitamins-and-supplements/chlorella-uses-and-risks
I am not giving you advise to change your medicines for this superfood.  I am actually taking this, and I want to blog my opinion.

The price is not that bad, as I just think about how I spend my money on things I do not need.  So I am going to invest my money to improve my health.

The Wanderer Scarf and Socks

Finally, I have finished The Wanderer scarf and socks.  I used the same stitch as the hat from my previous post, Jacob's Ladder stitch.  I am very happy with these three pieces which I crocheted for a gift. I don't have a pattern.  I used red heart yarns.

The Wanderer Crochet Hat

I have googled the internet for a crochet hat pattern, but I could not find one that I really like.  Don't get me wrong, there are beautiful crochet patterns in the internet.  I was just trying to look for a new stich for a special hat. Then I saw a stitch by Naztazia at Naztazia.com. It is called the Jacob's Ladder Stitch. Check her youtube channel and website.

Here are some pictures of the hat I made with the above mentioned stitch.  It took me several tries, but I am pleased with the hat.

I do not have a pattern, I just made it and fits perfectly

Mary Engelbreit Cross Stich Pattern

The first time I saw the Mary Engelbreit's pattern, I knew I have to cross stitch it.  This pattern was cross stitched more than ten years ago and it still looks beautiful.  I placed the finished pattern on a picture frame and put it by my front door.
I was looking for this pattern online since I gave my book away a few years ago. I found the pattern which is not mine.

This is my finished pattern...

This is the pattern I found online from...

I usually buy different colors of DMC so that I keep a good stash, any needle I have, scisors, and patience. If you do not find the right color, use a different one, play and enjoy.
